This preparation is indicated for:

• Prevention of dehydration and management of diarrhea
• All types of dehydration

For 500 ml preparation: Each sachet contains:

• Sodium Chloride BP: 0.88 g
• Potassium Chloride BP: 0.76 g
• Sodium Citrate BP: 1.50 g
• Citric Acid BP: 0.88 g
• Glucose Anhydrous BP: 8.18 g
• Dried Sucrose BP: 6.14 g

This is a fluid replacement preparation used for the treatment of dehydration. Since the human body is composed of about 70% water, maintaining proper hydration is essential for normal body function and overall well-being. To maintain fluid balance and optimal body function, it is estimated that at least 2 liters of fluid per day are required, in addition to fluids obtained from food. This preparation helps restore fluid and electrolyte balance in the body during dehydration.

The amount of water removed from the body, an equivalent quantity of mixture should be given. After each loose motion.

• Children below 2 years: 50-100 ml (10-20 teaspoonfuls) prepared Oral Rehydration Salt (Oral Rehydration Salt – Tasty).
• Children between 2-10 years: 100-200 ml (20-40 teaspoonful) prepared Oral Rehydration Salt (Oral Rehydration Salt – Tasty).
• Children above 10 years and adults: 200-400 ml (1-2 glasses) of prepared Oral Rehydration Salt (Oral Rehydration Salt – Tasty).

ORS should not be mixed with hot water, and the solution should not be heated. The prepared solution must be discarded after 12 hours.
