Calcium Lactate is primarily used in the treatment of calcium deficiency, which commonly occurs in growing children, pregnant women, and lactating mothers. It is particularly effective in relieving symptoms of hypocalcemia such as paresthesia, carpopedal spasm, muscle cramps, increased neuromuscular excitability leading to tetany, convulsions, mental disturbances, dermatitis, and ECG abnormalities.
Calcium Lactate
Generic MedicinePharmacology
This preparation has multiple actions. It provides supplemental dietary calcium, helps neutralize gastric acid in peptic ulcer disease, and binds phosphorus in the intestine to reduce overall phosphate levels, particularly in chronic renal conditions. Calcium Lactate contributes to lowering serum phosphate levels, which supports proper deposition of calcium phosphate in bones and soft tissues.

Children over 3 years: 1 tablet (300 mg) daily
