Indications

Used for the treatment of fungal infections accompanied by inflammatory symptoms such as itching, where quick relief is needed.

  • Dermatomycoses caused by dermatophytes (e.g. Trichophyton species), moulds, and other fungi
  • Dermatomycoses caused by yeasts (e.g. Candida species)
  • Skin conditions with secondary fungal infections
  • Treatment of nappy rash associated with Candida albicans infection
Pharmacology

Clotrimazole is a broad-spectrum antifungal agent effective against dermatophytes, yeasts, and other fungi. Hydrocortisone is a glucocorticoid with glucocorticoid activity and mild mineralocorticoid properties. It is also used in replacement therapy in cases of adrenocortical insufficiency.

Dosage Administration

Apply thinly and evenly to the affected area twice daily.

Contraindications

This preparation should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of its components.

Side Effects

Mild local burning or irritation may rarely occur. Hypersensitivity reactions can also develop in some cases.

Precautions & Warnings

In infants, nappies may act as occlusive dressings and increase drug absorption. Therefore, treatment duration should not exceed seven days.
