This combination eye ointment is indicated for dry eye conditions and is particularly useful at night as it remains in the eye longer than eye drops. It is used as adjunctive therapy to lubricate and protect the eye in conditions such as exposure keratitis, reduced corneal sensitivity, recurrent corneal erosions, keratitis sicca, and after ophthalmic surgery.

The combination of white soft paraffin, liquid paraffin, and wool alcohol forms a transparent lubricating and moisturizing film over the surface of the eye. This eye ointment provides soothing relief from dry eye symptoms such as soreness, irritation, and a gritty sensation. Dry eye may result from insufficient tear production or conditions such as certain diseases or medical treatments. The ointment also helps protect the eye surface and is useful in patients with recurrent corneal epithelial erosion.

Apply a ribbon of ointment (1-1.5 cm) into the affected eye(s) prior to going to sleep or as directed by doctor.

Hypersensitivity to any component of the medication.

Stinging or redness of the eye, dilated pupils, or blurred vision may occur.

There are no adequate data regarding the use of White paraffin, Liquid paraffin & Wool alcohol combination eye ointment in pregnant women. However, all components are pharmacologically inert, non-irritating, and non-toxic. It is not known whether this eye ointment is excreted in human breast milk.

For ophthalmic use only. If patients experience headache, eye pain, vision changes, eye irritation, persistent redness, or if symptoms worsen or persist for more than 72 hours, discontinue use and consult a doctor.

Emollients & combined preparations

Store in a cool, dry place away from light. Keep out of reach of children. Do not touch the tip to any surface to avoid contamination. Do not use the medicine after one month of first opening.
