This combination is used for the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis, rickets, osteomalacia, tetany, and parathyroid disorders. It is also used during pregnancy and lactation when the body's demand for calcium and vitamins increases. Additionally, it helps prevent and treat deficiency of Calcium, Vitamin D3, and Vitamin K2, especially in elderly patients who are housebound or living in institutions.

Each film-coated tablet contains:

• Calcium Carbonate (derived from coral fossil) 1250 mg equivalent to elemental Calcium 500 mg
• Vitamin D3 1000 IU as Cholecalciferol
• Vitamin K2 0.075 mg as Menaquinone-7

Coral Calcium contains Calcium Carbonate along with small amounts of Magnesium and other trace minerals. It provides better calcium absorption compared to many other Calcium Carbonate preparations. Vitamin D3 helps calcium absorb into the bloodstream and supports the formation of calcium-binding proteins. Vitamin K2 activates these proteins to help bind calcium into the bones.

2 tablets per day, preferably one tablet in the morning and the other in the evening with plenty of water or as directed by the physician.

The use of diuretics may influence calcium reabsorption and increase or decrease the amount of calcium excreted through urine.

This medicine should not be used in patients who are allergic to any of its ingredients.

Common side effects may include flatulence, nausea, stomach pain, diarrhoea, and skin rash. Long-term use at high doses may cause hypercalciuria and hypercalcaemia.

The body's requirement for calcium, Vitamin D3, and Vitamin K2 increases during pregnancy and lactation. This medicine may be used during these periods according to the advice of a physician.

Patients with mild hypercalciuria may require careful monitoring and dose adjustment. In patients with mild to moderate kidney impairment or during long-term treatment, blood and serum calcium levels should be monitored regularly. Patients with a history of kidney stones should also have urinary calcium levels checked.
