This combination is indicated for constipation, intestinal inflammation, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), ulcerative colitis, and piles.

Each 4 gm contains powder of the following herbs:

• Isabgul Husk (Plantago ovata): 3 gm
• Sonapata (Cassia angustifolia): 1 gm

This formulation contains Isabgul Husk and Sonapata, two commonly used herbal laxatives. Isabgul Husk can absorb a large amount of water, while Sonapata helps reduce water and electrolyte absorption from the large intestine, increasing the volume and pressure of intestinal contents. This action stimulates intestinal peristaltic movement and helps promote regular bowel movement and relieve constipation. Ispaghula also has the ability to bind with bile acids, which are involved in fat digestion from cholesterol. This process may help reduce circulating blood cholesterol levels through excretion. Regular intake may help regulate gastrointestinal function, relieve constipation, intestinal irritation, intestinal inflammation, IBS, and ulcerative colitis. It also helps bulk the stool, ease evacuation, reduce hyperacidity, improve digestion, support digestive system function, and maintain gut health.

Adult: 1 sachet or 4 gm powder with 150-200 ml water 1-2 times daily.

Children:

• 6-12 years: 1/2 to 1 sachet or 2-4 gm powder with 150-200 ml water 1-2 times daily.
• Under 6 years: As directed by the physician. 1/2 sachet or 2 gm powder with 150-200 ml water 1-2 times daily.

Oral intake of dried husk without sufficient water may cause complications.

In some cases, flatulence, stomach irritation, and intestinal obstruction may occur.

This preparation should not be used during pregnancy. It does not pass into breast milk; therefore, it can be used safely during lactation.

Plenty of water should be taken during the use of this preparation. It should not be used in cases of intestinal obstruction, acute inflammatory intestinal diseases, or appendicitis.
