Description

Aswagandharista is a combination of effective herbs that possess rejuvenative, aphrodisiac, and antioxidant properties. It helps restore memory loss and is used in cases of nervous exhaustion, spermatorrhoea, and senile debility. It is indicated in nervous debility, reduced libido, insanity, insomnia, swooning (syncope), and general decay. It is suitable for use in both male and female patients of all ages.

Each 5 ml syrup contains the extracts of

  • Withania somnifera 0.87 gm
  • Curculigo orchioides 0.15 gm
  • Rubia cordifolia 74.94 mg
  • Terminalia chebula 74.94 mg
  • Curcuma longa 74.94 mg
  • Berberis aristata 74.94 mg
  • Glycyrrhiza glabra 74.94 mg
  • Vanda roxburghii 74.94 mg
  • Ipomoea paniculata 74.94 mg
  • Terminalia arjuna 74.94 mg
  • Cyperus rotundus 74.94 mg
  • Operculina turpethum 74.94 mg and other ingredients.
Pharmacology

Withania somnifera: It is sedative, tonic, stimulant, aphrodisiac, adaptogenic, and alterative. It helps restore memory loss and is used in nervous exhaustion, spermatorrhoea, and senile debility. Modern research compares it with Panax ginseng for its endurance-enhancing properties. It is considered an important vajikarana drug, capable of improving semen quality and sexual vigor.

Curculigo orchioides: Musali is a reputed rasayana (rejuvenative) and aphrodisiac drug. It improves complexion and is useful in general debility and impotence.

Vanda roxburghii: The root is used in bronchitis, rheumatism, and nervine weakness. Charaka recommends Rasna for maintaining youthful vigor and strength.

Ipomoea paniculata: It is aphrodisiac, alterative, sweet, cooling, restorative, and tonic. It helps increase body weight reduced due to mental and physical fatigue. It is recommended in cases of general debility and rheumatism.

Dosage Administration

Adult: 2-4 teaspoonful 2-3 times daily after meal

Children: 1-2 teaspoonful 2-3 times daily after meal or as prescribed by the physician
