Each 1 liter of solution contains:
- Sodium Chloride: 161.43 g
- Potassium Chloride: 5.49 g
- Calcium Chloride: 9.75 g
- Magnesium Chloride: 3.74 g
- Glacial Acetic Acid: 8.85 g
- Highly purified water: sufficient quantity to make 1 liter
Pharmacology
Calcium Chloride: Helps maintain calcium balance and supports proper nerve transmission and muscle function by regulating excitation thresholds.
Potassium Chloride: A key intracellular electrolyte involved in nerve impulse conduction, muscle contraction, heart function, kidney function, and maintaining acid-base balance.
Sodium Chloride: The primary extracellular electrolyte responsible for fluid balance, osmotic pressure, and proper distribution of body fluids. It is also used for hydration, correction of metabolic acidosis, and as a priming solution in haemodialysis.
Magnesium Chloride: Functions as a cofactor in various enzymatic processes, supports protein and carbohydrate metabolism, and has calming effects on the nervous system with anticonvulsant properties.
Dosage Administration
Recommended dose: 5 liters concentrate per dialysis or as required.
