Allantoin gel is used for the management of different types of scars, including:

• Hypertrophic and keloid scars
• Scars following surgical procedures
• Scars caused by burns, trauma, or amputation
• Scars resulting from tendon contracture due to injury

Allantoin promotes cell growth and supports the formation of healthy skin tissue. It aids in scar treatment by enhancing epithelial regeneration and maintaining skin elasticity. It may also include extract of Allium cepa (onion extract), which helps reduce inflammation and allergic reactions by inhibiting inflammatory mediators. This extract also suppresses fibroblast proliferation, especially in keloid scars, and provides antibacterial effects. Together, these actions support wound healing and help prevent abnormal scar formation.

Allantoin gel should be applied once daily for at least 8 weeks on the new scars and for 3–6 months on existing scars. Continue with a circular motion until the gel is completely absorbed. Treatment may take several weeks or months depending on size of existing scars and contracture.

It should be used as soon as wound has closed. Don't use Allantoin gel on stitches – wait until any stitches have been removed.

Use in Children: Allantoin gel is safe and tolerable from 6 months of age.

No significant interactions with other medications have been reported. This product is not known to influence or be influenced by other drugs.

This product should not be used in individuals who are allergic to any of its components.

Allantoin gel is generally safe and well tolerated, even with prolonged use. However, in rare cases, mild local reactions such as redness or itching may occur.

There is limited information regarding its safety during pregnancy and breastfeeding; therefore, it should be used cautiously.

Avoid contact with eyes, inside of the nose, mouth, and other mucous membranes. This product is intended for external use only.

Store below 30°C, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
