Aluminium Oxide and Magnesium Trisilicate are indicated for the relief of heartburn, indigestion, gastric hyperacidity, peptic ulcer disease, and gastroesophageal reflux disorder (GERD).

Generic MedicinePharmacology
Aluminium hydroxide neutralizes gastric hydrochloric acid, forming aluminium chloride and water, thereby increasing gastric pH. Magnesium trisilicate also neutralizes stomach acid and contributes to raising gastric pH, providing relief from acidity.
Dosage Administration
Take 2–4 teaspoonful after meals and at bedtime as needed (up to 4 times a day)
Interactions
Aluminium Hydroxide: Its absorption may be increased when taken with citrates or ascorbic acid. It can reduce the absorption of several drugs including allopurinol, tetracyclines, quinolones, cephalosporins, bisphosphonates, corticosteroids, cyclosporine, delavirdine, iron salts, imidazole antifungals, isoniazid, mycophenolate, penicillamine, phosphate supplements, phenytoin, phenothiazines, and trientine.
Magnesium Trisilicate: No well-established drug interactions have been reported.
Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with hypophosphataemia.
Side Effects
Possible adverse effects include diarrhea, constipation, nausea, and vomiting.

Precautions & Warnings
Use with caution in patients with renal impairment, those on a low-phosphate diet, and during prolonged therapy.
