Cod liver oil is beneficial for relieving joint pain and stiffness and is commonly used to prevent deficiencies of vitamins A and D. It serves as a valuable dietary supplement during pregnancy, infancy, childhood, and for adults with inadequate nutrition. Regular use helps build a healthy body, strong bones, and teeth, while also supporting healthy skin. Cod liver oil boosts the immune system, increasing resistance to coughs, colds, and other infections. It has anti-thrombotic, anti-arrhythmic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-hypertensive properties. Additionally, it helps lower triglyceride levels and raise high-density lipoprotein (HDL) levels. It supports normal growth, development, and proper functioning of the central nervous system in both the fetus and infants. It may also help improve symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, depression, and schizophrenia.
Cod Liver Oil
Generic MedicineDescription
Cod liver oil is a rich natural source of vitamins A, D3, and omega-3 fatty acids. Vitamin A helps maintain healthy linings of the respiratory and digestive tracts, which act as the body’s first line of defense against infections, and also supports a strong immune system. Vitamin D3 is essential for the proper absorption of calcium from the intestines into the bloodstream and helps maintain normal levels of calcium in both blood and bones. The omega-3 fatty acids, including EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), are believed to play an important role in reducing the risk of coronary heart disease.
