Indications

This medicine helps relieve all symptoms related to the common cold, such as dry cough, chest congestion, and similar conditions.

Pharmacology

This tablet contains a combination of Guaifenesin and Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide (HBr). Dextromethorphan acts as a cough suppressant by inhibiting the cough center in the brain, helping to reduce coughing. Guaifenesin is an expectorant that lowers the thickness (viscosity) of mucus by increasing fluid secretion in the airways, making it easier to cough up and clear phlegm from the chest.

Dosage Administration

Adults and children 12 years and older: 1 or 2 tablets every 12 hours and not more than 4 tablets daily. Do not crush, chew, or break tablet Take with a full glass of water This product can be administered without regard for the timing of meals.

Contraindications

This tablet should not be used in patients who are known to be hypersensitive or allergic to Dextromethorphan or Guaifenesin. It is also contraindicated in patients currently taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or within two weeks after discontinuation of MAOI therapy.

Side Effects

Common side effects of this medicine include hypersensitivity reactions, skin rash, nausea, and vomiting.
