This combination tablet is used to treat conditions such as osteoporosis, osteomalacia, rickets, tetany, and disorders of the parathyroid gland. Calcium supplements are also taken to ensure sufficient calcium intake during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and to support bone development and tooth formation (as an addition to proper treatment). It is also used alongside anti-seizure medications, as a regular dietary supplement, and as a phosphate binder in patients with chronic kidney failure.

This preparation contains calcium carbonate and vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol). Calcium is essential for many normal body functions, especially for building and maintaining strong bones. Dosage Administration

Interactions
This preparation may interact with antacids containing calcium, aluminum, or magnesium, as well as other calcium or vitamin D3 supplements such as calcitriol. It may also interact with digoxin and certain antibiotics including tetracycline, doxycycline, minocycline, and oxytetracycline. These interactions can affect the absorption or effectiveness of the medicines.
Contraindications
This preparation is contraindicated in patients with hypercalcaemia, hyperthyroidism, renal calculi (kidney stones), nephrolithiasis, and Zollinger–Ellison syndrome. It should not be used in these conditions as it may worsen the patient’s health status.
Side Effects
This medicine is generally well tolerated. However, some patients may experience side effects such as nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, dry mouth, increased thirst, or increased urination. If any of these symptoms occur, a physician should be informed. Constipation may also occur in some cases.

Precautions & Warnings

Overdose of this medicine may cause symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, severe drowsiness, dry mouth, loss of appetite, metallic taste, stomach cramps, diarrhea, headache, and constipation.
