Undenatured Type II Collagen is derived from chicken sternum cartilage using a patented low-temperature, non-enzymatic process that preserves its natural triple-helix structure and biological activity.
It contains active binding sites called epitopes that initiate oral tolerization. In this process, the epitopes interact with Peyer’s patches in the small intestine and stimulate the release of collagen-specific regulatory T-cells. These cells migrate to joint tissues and help suppress harmful T-cell activity responsible for cartilage damage. It also reduces macrophage-mediated release of collagenase enzymes and decreases inflammatory cytokine production, thereby reducing inflammation, slowing cartilage degeneration, and supporting cartilage repair.
Hyaluronic acid is naturally present in the human body and plays an important role in joint function. It provides lubrication by forming a viscous, gel-like fluid that also acts as a shock absorber. It supports cartilage and bone growth by promoting new cell formation and helps reduce inflammation and pain caused by injury or degeneration.
Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Sulfur, a key component of MSM, is essential for the formation of collagen and glucosamine, which are important for healthy bones and joints. Clinical studies show that MSM significantly improves pain and physical function scores in osteoarthritis patients.
Turmeric extract contains curcumin, which has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antithrombotic, and antimicrobial activities. It works by inhibiting inflammatory mediators such as prostaglandins, leukotrienes, and cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2). Curcumin also suppresses pro-inflammatory cytokines including TNF-α, IL-1, IL-8, and nitric oxide synthase.
Boswellia serrata contains boswellic acids, which have strong anti-inflammatory effects. The active compound 3-O-acetyl-11-keto-beta-boswellic acid (AKBA) inhibits the enzyme 5-lipoxygenase (5-LOX), helping reduce inflammation in conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis.
One capsule two times daily with meal or as directed by the physician. The safety and effectiveness under the age of 18 years have not been established.
