This cream is indicated for fast relief of minor aches and pains of muscles and joints associated with:
This cream is a specially formulated combination of Methyl Salicylate and Menthol for topical use. It penetrates the skin to provide fast relief from pain and stiffness associated with minor arthritis and muscular aches. It is a fast-acting formulation that penetrates deeply to provide long-lasting and effective relief. Methyl salicylate undergoes first-pass metabolism in the skin and is rapidly hydrolyzed to release active salicylate in both the epidermis and dermis. It relieves pain and inflammation by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in inflamed tissues. Menthol enhances drug penetration through the skin, leading to faster onset of action. It produces vasodilation with a cooling sensation followed by a local analgesic effect.
Adult and children 2 years of age and older: Apply a thin layer to the affected area and gently massage until this cream disappears. Apply to the affected area not more than 3 to 4 times daily.
Methyl Salicylate is absorbed systemically through the skin in measurable amounts and may enhance the effect of Warfarin by interfering with vitamin K metabolism or by displacing warfarin from protein-binding sites.
Hypersensitivity or allergy to salicylates or any component of the formulation. Application on broken, damaged, or raw skin is contraindicated.
Skin redness or irritation may occur, especially in individuals with sensitive skin. Reported adverse reactions include mild to moderate local irritation, erythema, rash, desquamation, pruritus, and localized skin reactions at the application site.
This medicine should be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding only if clearly necessary.
For external use only. Use strictly as directed. Do not use with a heating pad. Keep out of reach of children to avoid accidental ingestion. Do not swallow. If swallowed, seek immediate medical help or contact a poison control center. Do not apply with tight bandages. Avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes, and broken or irritated skin. If skin redness, severe irritation, or pain persists for more than 10 days, or in children under 12 years with arthritis-like conditions, discontinue use and consult a physician.
Excessive topical application may lead to systemic absorption and salicylate toxicity (salicylism). Symptoms include tinnitus, hearing loss, nausea, vomiting, and related systemic effects.
