MEDIMET was licensed on Decmeber 1, 1973 in the name of Bengal Research Institute (BRI) with location of manufacturing plant at Kaligonj, Jhenaidah, Jessore and operating up to 1984. For the greater interest of expansion, control and supervision; the manufacturing plant was shifted to Barisal in 1985. In the year 1987; it was renamed MEDIMET Pharmaceuticals. In 1988 for further extension, modernization and to equip with latest technical assistance; the company was formed a private limited company confined to its share holders.
Under the new management, the company had gone to develop its manufacturing plant as per CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice) using modular concept regarding pharmaceuticals plant which is authorized by the World Health Organization. Company constructed separate building with all modern technical facilities. We have 19 no of administrative and distribution channels all over Bangladesh to ensure a smart supply of products. We are working for the better health of people as well as strength the economy of the country, that’s way our qualified field forces working throughout the country.
MEDIMET has gained its capability to ensure smooth supply variety tablets, capsules, syrup, suspension, liquid & powder for parenteral, ointment and sachets preparation. The manufacturing parenteral plant is located outside the city, free from environment pollution.
